This ribbon is to remember those innocent children who died at Columbine High earlier this year. There are so many tragic events happening in our country today and so many of the victims are our young children. Please pray for our children as well as our country. Reach out to those around you with love and concern. We can make a difference if we do what we can where we are. If you would like to display this on your site to remember those at Columbine high, click on the ribbon to go where you can get one in the background of your choice.

This is a webring that was spurred by the tragedy in Columbine. There are so many innocent victims in our world today. It may be a great help to remember those who've been victims in the past so that we can work to prevent some from being victims in the future.

We should always remember our soldiers. They make great sacrifices in leaving families and other loved ones to do what is necessary to keep our country free. The men and women that serve or have served our country, no matter what part of the world they have been or go, deserve our support, our prayers, and the utmost respect. We owe them our deepest gratitude.

I support breast cancer awareness! I sure do! Maybe even you have known someone close to you that has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Maybe you've lost someone dear to you from that horrible disease. I know I have. Just this past July, a dear lady and friend in my church died from it after an 11 year battle with it. She's with Jesus now, but she was only 3 years older than I am. There's another wonderful lady in my church who is in the midst of the battle right now. Breast Cancer, like so many other killers doesn't care about your age, or who you are. If you are a woman and you have a website, visit the site that is linked to the graphic above and consider placing one on your site.

I support the Refuge House and it's mission. I was a battered woman in an abusive relationship myself for about a year and a half, which I've included in my testimony. The mission of Refuge House is to provide direct services to battered women, their children and sexual assault surviviors, as well as to work to eliminate the conditions in society that allow such violence to continue.
• Battering is the single major cause of injury to women,
more than auto accidents, muggings, and rapes combined.
• According to the F.B.I. statistics, a woman is beaten
every 9 seconds.
• 50 to 70 percent of husbands who batter their
wives also batter their children.
• Battered mothers indicate that 87 percent of their
children witness the abuse.
• 50 to 60 percent of abusers come from homes where
they were abused or witnessed abuse.

I support My Sister's Keeper International. My Sister's Keeper International is a Christian organization and was organized solely for the purpose of responding to the silent cries of our suffering sisters, including women of all faiths, by doing the following:
• Raising awareness of the problem of domestic
violence in all communities, including religious groups;
• Encouraging all communities, including religious groups, to get involved in breaking the cycle of violence through education and training;
• Providing Godly guidance and practical assistance to
the victim for a victorious life;
• Urging batterers to attend recovery programs
for their own healing.
