Wasn't he just a man? Weren't others killed in the same manner? What was the difference?

True, He was crucified along with two others. The difference? He was innocent. John 18:38 - "Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, 'I find in him no fault at all. '"

Just like the thieves, He died and was removed before the Sabbath. What was the difference?

Yes, but all were to have their legs broken to insure that they were indeed dead. He was left unbroken. Psalm 34:20 - "He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken. " and John 19:33 - "But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:

But He was buried in a tomb just as others were. What is the difference?

True, He was buried. Jesus Himself tells us in the Scriptures, Matthew 12:40 - "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. "

So what is the difference?

When Mary Magdalene and others went to the tomb, they found that the great stone that was laid against the tomb had been rolled away and the body of Jesus was gone! Luke 24:1-3 - "Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. "

The Difference?

He was and is the only one who died and rose again of His own power! He was seen by different ones for 50 days before He ascended to the Father into heaven. He was seen by a witness of over 500. 1 Corinthians 15:3-7 - "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles." The difference you ask? JESUS was and IS the difference!
