Women of the Heartland is the first group that I joined when I moved into the Heartland neighborhood. It is a webring that joins the women site-owners of Heartland together.

Partners in prayer is a group of people that believe in the power of prayer. Through this group you can be kept up to date with urgent prayer needs from all over. I joined this group because I believe in and know the power of prayer. God does hear and answer prayers!

When I started my first web page in January of this year, I began by using the GeoBuilder. To use that you don't have to know any html at all, which I didn't. I soon learned the limitations that come along with that tool and decided to go for it and learn html! After a month or so of working with html and finding it enourmous fun, I soon had a number of pages that I had built in the advanced editor added to my site and had also redone the pages originally done in GeoBuilder. By June I had two dear ladies encourage me to apply to be a Community Leader for Heartland. After some thought, I decided to give it a try. I enjoy being able to help people and I love working with html, so why not? I applied for the course, went into training, and became a community leader. I was a community leader until this month, (November, 2000), but had to stop due to less time available to me to spend on the computer.

I'm proud to display my diploma that I received after completing my course Community Leadership. I learned a lot, had a great teacher and have since met a lot of many wonderful fellow community leaders. They are now Heartland Helping Hands. You can count on them to help you if you're in need of help in setting up your pages, or have any questions at all.

I was a member of the Heartland Graphics Committee. This is a group of community leaders who voluntarily make graphic sets for homesteaders to use on their websites. It's worth checking out if you're looking for some really nice sets for your pages. There are many different catagories to choice from with several sets in each catagory. You're sure to find something you like.
